Disclaimer: I have made this blog for the intent to show loved ones what we've been up to lately. I also want to one day print it out and have it as a journal for the kids. I am not doing this to brag at all. I just thought this is a great way for you all to see what life's been like for us and what we've been doing. I love to see other people's blogs and see their pictures and see what they've been up to. That's all I'm doing here. Thank you!

OOPS!!!

So I thought this was a mess when we ate spagetti for dinner one night, but Spencer decided to show me what a real mess was the next day.

Spencer was in the other room watching Toy Story and I would check on him now and then to make sure he wasn't getting into trouble. Little did I know that after one of my checks he went into Grandma Hale's room and decided to try on some of her lipstick. It was a tube that she was going to return because the shade wasn't right for her. And after seeing it close up, I agree.

So this is what we walked into. Spencer had luckily played with Grandma's lotion first, having rubbed that in first. So when the lipstick went on it didn't really seep into the skin, but it still was a bugger to scrub off.

Spencer went right into the tub. Grandma and I had to contain the laughter because this was a serious matter that we had to discipline, but looking at that face, it sure was hard. After taking him downstairs to show dad, who was asleep from just getting home from a graveyard shift, in the tub he went. We figured he must have used it like lotion and after his hands were covered, he decided to "lotion" his face. It was EVERYWHERE!!! He looked like a clown. I couldn't resist, I had to take lots of pictures. I even grabbed the camcorder to preserve the story in his own words. Priceless!!!! To this day if you ask him about the incident, he will tell you," Lipstick, no,no,bad".

This was after a lot of scrubbing and lots of soap!!!! Can you see the color of the water.............a nice shade of lipstick pink!!!!

Jumping Jacks Fun!!!

Brenna was so brave going down this huge slide. She would go down three times to Spencer's one. She just flew up those steps. Spencer struggled a little more with his short legs.

So I know I have totally slacked on my job to keep this site updated. So I hope these entries will redeem my slackfulness. Is that even a word? Oh well, so here is what we've been up to in December. I will try to do better in 2009, hence the word TRY!!! I hope you all had a wonderful holiday season and I look forward to what 2009 will bring to pass. Best wishes for all of you and we love you all so much.

We went to Jumping Jacks for Family night when we were down south. Jon and Prentiss brought their kids and we had a blast. Well, let me say the kids had the blast and we were just enjoying the ride. It was fun to see the kids together. Brenna is a little dare devil, I couldn't believe how fearless she is. She was a pro at everything. And Spencer wasn't far behind. This picture is so sweet, Spencer had a harder time climbing the slide steps because of his short little legs and so Brenna would take his hand and help him up. It was super precious.

This slide was huge and these kids just went down it with no fear.

This was just a little bounce house that was geared for 6 yrs and younger so Spencer had a blast. He's our little Tigger.

Christmas in Dixie!!!!

So on the 26th we headed down south to the Bowler festivities. We got there at midnight and the next morning was a wedding of Jason's cousin in the St George Temple. After we had a luncheon and after that we celebrated Christmas with the fam. It was so fun. Just being together with all the kids running around having fun was so great to see. Spencer loves being with his cousins. He misses it when we go home. He definitely has withdrawals.
Sweet Tessa girl.

Lincoln was so content with his Grandma W.

One "Hale" of a Christmas!!!

We woke up to a white Christmas, I mean a blizzard white Christmas. We didn't think that the family coming from up north would make it, but they did and it was great!!!! We had so much fun together as a family.
Micah got a sparkly box full of lip stuff from her parents and she would go around sharing with everyone making them so pretty. She would inform you not to touch her box though. She was very insistent upon that. It was so funny.

Our Family Christmas Pictures

So we were going to send out Christmas cards but since we had just sent out Lincoln's birth announcement, we figured we'd skip this year and send out next year, so here are our family pictures we took.
Lincoln's shirt is an understatement. It's so true, that it's not so funny.

Alisa is a sweetheart to help out. I think this was more than she bargained for.

Spencer got these fun foam blocks from Grandma Hale. Alisa and I had fun trying to build a tower using all the blocks up before Spencer could knock them down. Then we'd try to catch the destruction on camera, that was the hard part, but Alisa caught this awesome picture in the act.

This was a before shot.

Christmas with the HALE'S!!!

This is the cutest picture of Jonsie and Brett.
We spent Christmas Eve over at Mom's with Kev & Tenille and Alisa and Joni. Spencer decided to join in on the snuggle time with Kev and Tenille. We had a great night. We played games and listened to the tradition that's been going on for as long as I can remember and that's the tape of "Don't Forget the Star".

Spencer and Micah on Christmas day waiting to open presents. They were so patient to wait till breakfast was over.

This is a great picture of our sweet Micah.
