Disclaimer: I have made this blog for the intent to show loved ones what we've been up to lately. I also want to one day print it out and have it as a journal for the kids. I am not doing this to brag at all. I just thought this is a great way for you all to see what life's been like for us and what we've been doing. I love to see other people's blogs and see their pictures and see what they've been up to. That's all I'm doing here. Thank you!

Day at the Aquarium

We took the boys to the Aquarium for Jason's birthday (I know, I know, I need to get better at posting more frequent) but anyways, we went to see the new exhibit of the penguins. We had a good time and a lot of pictures only have Spencer in them because Lincoln decided to take a snooze halfway through. Oh well.

So this picture (above) is Spencer asking mom, "so this is what I should do, right mom?" And the picture below is the result.

"Ouch, mom, that really hurt"

Wow. why is it that Lincoln is always asleep when we take a family picture, well, just add the top of Lincoln's head to this picture (that's about the result we get when he's in it).

Spencer kept rubbing and hugging this frog and saying, "I love this frog, I need to kiss it." You know from the princess and the frog, the problem we had to discuss with him is that he is a boy and not a princess. I know, I know, he is sometimes confused, we're working on it. I promise, Jason is definately working on that.

This is looking at the penguins. They are standing on a slanted little ledge, so Spencer was helping Linc. It was very cute. He kept saying to Lincoln, "I've got you, don't worry, Linc." It's just too bad you can't see the penguins, they were really neat to watch.

Spencer giving advice to Lincoln.

The boys loved looking at the sharks.
Lincoln didn't want to leave the shark tank.

Spencer loved touching the spikey things, I don't know the names.

His favorite was the star fish.
His arm wasn't long enough to reach the sting ray.
This lobster was enormous!!!
The jelly fish were my favorite, they are so fun to watch. They are better behind glass them stinging you in the leg, I'd know, it hurt.

Spencer wanted a picture of the eel. He took a lot of these pictures. He loves taking pictures, I don't know were he gets that from. Hmmmm!
We decided to get out Grandma Matthews chalkboard out for the boys to play with, well it was fun for them and they played with it for awhile, until.......

Lincoln decided to use his body as a chalkboard, and then eat it.......yummmmm!

Micah came to visit later that day, she is such a cutie pie. She is growing up so fast!!!! Not a little girl anymore, she is becoming a little lady.

Visit from Grandma and Papa Bowler

Lincoln wanted some lovin' from his big bro.

Papa and Grandma Bowler came to visit a couple weeks ago (I know, it's been a while since I've posted) and the boys had such a great time with them.

This picture is of Papa eating on the little table entertaining the boys at breakfast. He is so cute with them. They adore their Papa and we are so lucky to have him in our lives.

Lincoln stands like this all the time, with his hands behind his back. Its so funny.

Papa and Grandma had such a long day (they had a wedding to go to this day so they were gone all day). So between wedding fun they came back to visit more with the boys, but they both fell asleep. Lincoln and Spencer were so enthralled. They kept walking up tp them trying to see if they would move. They didn't.

Papa LOVES to take Spencer on a walk around the neighborhood. So I grabbed my camera as they left. This picture is so cute. Papa is an amazing man, we love him so much.
The picture above is of Papa sharing his apple as they walked.
Spencer looks up to his Papa so much, what a great man to do that to. I have no complaints. He is a great example to my boys.

Finally, I made it!!!

So I have been wanting to make bumpers for the crib since Spencer was little and I have been too scared to attempt it. I had no idea how to, but I had a vision of how I wanted them to be. I wanted bumpers that were high enough so the older sibling wouldn't wake up the younger when they were sleeping. I couldn't find any like that at the stores sooooo reluctantly I went and bought the fabric and went to work. It took me about 5 hours and I got it made. It turned out ok and they work for what we want it for. So here is the before and after shot.
BEFORE!!!!!
AFTER!!!! I didn't think about the whole picture before and now that I look at it, it totally looks like a coffin inside the crib. I maybe should've picked black as the inside fabric. All we thought of was mickey mouse's (which is the red fabric) ears are black. So they are done and here is what they look like. Lincoln loves it, he loves to rub his face on the super soft black fabric. And no more bruises from hitting his head on the bars at night, I know I'm a horrible mom.

Trying to keep 2 entertained?!!!

So the boys were so bored one day, I went in the kitchen, grabbed some chopsticks and taped some ribbon to the ends and let the boys go at it. They had so much fun. It at least kept them entertained til bedtime. Thank goodness!
