Disclaimer: I have made this blog for the intent to show loved ones what we've been up to lately. I also want to one day print it out and have it as a journal for the kids. I am not doing this to brag at all. I just thought this is a great way for you all to see what life's been like for us and what we've been doing. I love to see other people's blogs and see their pictures and see what they've been up to. That's all I'm doing here. Thank you!

11-1-12 Quincy William Bowler

He finally came. After a long day of labor, Quincy decided to join our family 6:14pm. It was so amazing to hold him in our arms finally.
Right after he was born they placed him on my chest and the flood of emotions ran through me. It is so incredible how you can love something so tiny. I just wanted to hold him like that forever.
I'm sorry....for some reason these pictures are all out of order. So bare with me. This is the grandmas checking out their new grandson.

So right after Quincy was born, I got to hold him for a while and they took him away to bathe him and check him out and Jason went with him. I, on the other hand, was whisked away to an operating room and got my tubes tied. Knowing that Lucas was supposed to be our last, according to the doctors, and I knew one more was to come into our family, it was time to get my tubes tied after Quincy. They took me back at about 7:30pm and it took about an hour and a half.....so when I got back to the room about 8:45pm....I was itching to hold Quincy. When I entered the room....there was no Quincy....I was freaking out. At about 10:00 pm, I had only held my baby for about 10 minutes and they still couldn't tell me anything about him. All they said was he took a turn for the worse and had to take him to the NICU....I was really freaking out now. At about 10:30pm, they wheeled him in my room just for a few minutes so I could see him one last time before the NICU. This is how he looked. Tubes everywhere.....it was horrible.

We were finally told around midnight that we could visit him in the NICU....we went back and it is a mothers nightmare seeing all the equipment and tubes and everything. We talked with the NICU nurse and she told us all the news that was going on with him. She told us that since I was StrepB positive when he was born (even with the antibiotics), Quincy might've gotten it. And he had fluid on the lungs, his stomach felt and looked distended, and he was really struggling to breath. There was a whole bunch more she told me that he had, I kind of forgot because I was so overwhelmed and scared, but I do remember her saying that he was going downhill fast and that he was a very sick little boy. Jason and I just sat there, crying.....not knowing what to do or say. I just held him and couldn't stop kissing him. I was afraid he was slipping away from us.
He was so bruised....they tried putting the IV in his head twice and missed and tried on the back of his hand. Poor kiddo. We stayed as long as we could in the NICU...they kicked us out after a while saying that he needed more xrays and that he would be there for at least a couple weeks.  We went back to the room and just prayed that he would be alright. The next morning came and our pediatrician came in and told us amazing news. That he did a 180 since we saw him last....that after the 3 antibiotics are through in a day that he could come out of the NICU. It was an answer to our prayers, for sure. We hadn't spent much time with him, but he was already a huge part of our family and we couldn't imagine life without him.

The boys came later the next day and they got to hold him and kiss on him.
Jason's new boss at the time had these beautiful flowers delivered to our room before we even got there. It was such a sweet thing for him to do.
Eventually the IV's were taken out right before we went home and the boys were so happy. It was making them so nervous to see tubes coming out of their brothers head. They too were in love with Quincy. He was just the perfect caboose to complete this family.
More pictures of our little man in the NICU. All I could do was hold his little bruised hand.

Quincy was my only boy that had any hair, and he had tons of it.....dark hair. It was crazy.
This was the first night in the hospital when the boys had to go home. They were so sad....they wanted to stay and help us with Quincy. Little did they know (even to me) that Quincy was struggling needing to be in the NICU.
Quincy has the Hale toes and long feet. Hopefully that means he will be tall like his Uncle Kevin and Brett.
Jason holding his sweet Quincy boy in the NICU.
This is all the equipment that was helping Quincy. It was so overwhelming.
Papa could only be with us right after Quincy for a day or so. He was so exhausted. I think all of us were.
This was right after Quincy was born. He looked right at me and stopped crying. It was an amazing moment.
This picture was taken right after labor. They were cleaning Quincy up and weighing him.
Spencer was so excited to be a big brother again. He is such a great helper.
The other two wouldn't stop dancing after Quincy was born....apparently they were excited also.
Spencer went around giving everyone a hug. There was so much love in that room.
Another shot of Quincy's headful of hair. We were so shocked he had so much of it.
Kevin, Tenille and Kambry came by to visit. Kevin and Jason gave Quincy a blessing the first night. It was so sweet of them to come so late to help us out. It truly was a blessing....he made that 180 degree turnaround for the better right afterwards.
His bruised little hand.
 Another shot right after labor...
Alisa saved our bacon by bringing her IPad for the kids to watch a movie on while I was in the operating room and Jason was back with  Quincy. She is our lifesaver....all the time.
Getting Q's measurements right after he was born. He was our littlest boy 7 lbs. 6 oz. but our longest (21 inches).
 Getting Grandma Bowler love.
Spencer wanted to hold him all the time.
Kambry was a little jealous. Look at Tenille's face.
Lucas loved playing peek a boo with the curtain. That was his entertainment.
 Saying good-bye for the night.
The boys were so thrilled to finally see who's been kicking mom these past months.
 Checking out the hair again.
 Linc wanted a closer look.

So happy he finally got all the tubes removed.
Papa Bowler taking a catnap with his newest grandson in his arms. This is one of those pictures you have to have since you have one with each child now.
 Precious little boy!
 "Here I Am!!"
"Mom, where am I?" Is what I kept hearing behind the curtain.
Finally home at last. This little boy got mauled with kisses.
 Grandma Bowler with Lucas.
Spencer was so soft and sweet while he kissed his head and whispered sweet nothings in his ear. It was really him giving advice on how things were going to run around here.
Linc was my bottle helper. Whenever it was feeding time....Linc was right there.
 See what I mean?
Kambry happy again in her moms arms.
 Long toes
Uncle Kevin checking him out. Giving his approval.

11-1-12 Hours before baby #4

So here are some of the pictures from the day Quincy joined our family. We went into the hospital at 6:45am to be induced on Nov. 1st. I had my sister, Alisa, be our awesome photographer that day like with most of the other boys. Grandma Bowler came the night before to help with the boys. So after Spencer got home from school the boys came to visit. It was a very long and exhausting and joyful day all rolled into one.
Spencer was so sweet....he was so worried the whole day for me. He would cry when he saw all the tubes coming out of my arm and kiss them better. He is such a tender little boy.
Lincoln giving me some love when he first saw me.
My Lincoln boy
Our little family that will be one more soon.
Lovin' from Lucas

Spencer kept coming over giving me the biggest hugs to make me feel better....I loved every one of them.

Paula came by after work to see how things were going. I felt bad that she didn't get to hold our little one. He was being a little stinker, I guess he liked it in there. It was so great to see her. She is an amazing woman.

Jason giving me some words of encouragement and love.
More pictures to come soon......to be continued......

Sorry!!

Ok....I know its been forever since I've posted last and I have a very good excuse for it. I mean, you know me, I love to update this thing....but we've been out of a computer for a long time now. And now that we got a new laptop it's been insane around here. But....there is no excuses for this...I will connect my external hard drive with all our old pictures soon and I will update this blog. I promise!! Quincy will be on this blog soon enough. Just a little more time and it will be done. So stay tuned and I will be up to date.

Happy Halloween 2012

This Halloween was such a busy day. Spencer was supposed to dress up at school for a day of fun. They had a parade for all the parents and then had a party in his class. He loved his costume!!! He made a pretty good looking Harry Potter.
These are some friends waiting for the bus. Cassandra, Faythe, and Spencer. Or should I say a cute ladybug, witch and Harry.
This was my last day being pregnant so we took advantage and got some cute pictures.
It is a sad and exciting time at the same time. Sad because this is the last time I will be pregnant and exciting because I know this is the beginning of our new chapter as a complete family. And can I add, sad because now I have to watch what I eat.....I can't just eat anything I want. :(
Lucas thought it was so funny when I asked him to hug by belly.
But he did it! He has no idea what's about to come over the next couple of days.
This is at Spencer's school. He likes to make the other kids laugh. He's such a comedian.
Dabreak Elementary did a fabulous job on this parade in their school. They had all the parents go to the gym and cafeteria which are next to each other, then all the kids by classes went around in a huge line and paraded around the school, then when they had gone past all the parents, they would then sit around the halls and watch the other kids parade around in their costumes. It was really well done and very fun.
I had to take a picture of this bulletin board at his school. He was one of the first group to get an award. Proud mama here.
 Close up.
In this school they have a Kindergarten Alley where all the kindergarten classes are down one hall. It is close to the office and away from the bigger kids classrooms. It is really cute. Here is one of the bulletin boards they did. Spencer was supposed to disguise Tom the turkey, so he wouldn't be founf and eaten during the holidays. So I bet you can't guess which one is Spencer's....let me give you a hint....Jason helped him do it. Yup, it's the Darth Vader Turkey at the top right side. It was a cute idea.
 This was the halloween party.
While the teacher and parents were getting the party ready....the kids played outside. There's Spencer on the swings.
Halloween night. All ready for trick or treating. Jason was getting home later than we thought so I loaded up the kids and off we went.
Linc (Mickey Mouse), Luke (Mike Wasowski), And Spencer (Harry Potter)
When we headed out the door all the neighbor kids were heading out also. So for a while around that night, they went with their friends. It was really fun for them. Then after a while Grandma Bowler joined us, she had just  drove up from St. George to help and Jason finally got off of work.  We walked around forever....it seemed.
All the boys really loved trick or treating this year. I was shocked how well they did. The weather was awesome and they really got into it. Every year down the road, a house puts on a garage haunted house where you can go in and get your candy and get spooked or the little kids can go to the front door and not get scared. So I thought with the boys as they are, Spencer can go through the garage and I would take the other two to the front door. Lincoln was so upset....he wanted to go through the garage....I was shocked. So he went in....now let me tell you about this house. It was scary even to me, they had black plastic bags covering everything with clear plastic draped down the opening of the garage with what appeared to be blood spattered on it. And they had eerie sounds coming from inside and fog everywhere. Lincoln walked right in and grabbed the candy like a champ. Next to the candy was a big box that was shaking. Lincoln said, "Mom, whats in that fridge", and out popped this demented clown holding a shovel. He came out and drug that shovel all around the garage. I was floored that my little four year old was not at all scared. just imagine a little Mickey Mouse walking right up to this huge scary clown and says "Hi" then we went out and Lincoln wanted to go right back in again. Before we left he said he wanted a picture with him, so he walks all by himself, back inside the garage and comes out holding his hand. I took the picture and Lincoln turns to him and says, "Thank you clown, see you next year. Happy Halloween". It was so funny.
Here's the picture Lincoln had to have with the demented clown.
Lucas wouldn't go to bed before he had a taste of his victory. He made the cutest Monsters, Inc, Michael Wasowski, ever. I'm glad I had this costume made for him. It turned out really cute.
I hope you all had a fabulous Halloween, I know we sure did. Now for the adventure that happens at 6:30 the next morning. Ready or not.....
