We went down to St. George the weekend after the blessing for Grandma Bowler's funeral. We took the opportunity to get a lot of pictures of the boys with Grandma Woodbury.
This was the first time Quincy got to meet his amazing, wonderful, sweet, adorable Grandma Woodbury. It was love at first hold....for Quincy, that is.
This is totally out of order, but this is on the way back to Heber from St. George. We needed groceries so we stopped in Payson for a potty break and food. Lincoln was tired and couldn't find a place to sit so he improvised. This was his plan. It was so funny. Jason wanted me to take a picture so he can use it at work as an example of showing the newbies to always check the bottom of the cart for more merchandise. I wonder how much he'd cost? Hmmmm......
Another shot of Lincoln's resting place.
Another shot of Q with Grandma WoodburyAll the boys with their grandma
Grandma Bowler's funeral was so good. All the speakers were so amazing. This family is so incredible...I am so blessed to be a part of it. It is so great to know that a funeral is not the end, that I will see all my loved ones again. Grandma Bowler was such an incredible woman who we love so much. She left such a legacy behind. She had 10 children, Dad was the oldest. The day of the funeral was so amazing....we arrived at the church in Gunlock in a blizzard....after the funeral, we came out to a little drizzle of rain...and by the time we walked to the cemetery and Grandpa Bowler said the prayer, the sun had come out almost instantly and it was a sunny day from then on....it was so beautiful. It reminds me of how my Grandpa Matthews funeral was. And that's exactly how she wanted it to. It was a perfect day.
I'm sorry for the bad pictures....with all the running out of the house to make it on time...I forgot my camera and so all of these were taken on my horrible camera phone. And if you know me at all....I was so mad!!! I would've had 150 pictures by now, if I had my good camera.
The boys were given flowers off the casket. They didn't last long. Lucas kept using his as a sword. So that's why I knew I needed pictures of them with their flowers before they were just stems.
My boys kept walking around the casket admiring all the pretty flowers.
I wish this picture would've turned out better. I was so mad at my stinkin' phone.
What a cute picture this could've been.
If you're wondering where Quincy was through this whole thing, one of Jason's sweet cousins took care of him in the church. She was so sweet to hold him through all of this part and the luncheon afterwards.
Grandma Bowler will be missed, but we know we will be able to see her again and that makes all the difference in the world. I can't imagine how I'd feel if I didn't believe that. We will always remember her sweetness and her love that her and Grandpa Bowler shared between each other. Every time I saw them together, they were holding hands. It was the sweetest thing ever and what an amazing example they are to Jason and I.
