Disclaimer: I have made this blog for the intent to show loved ones what we've been up to lately. I also want to one day print it out and have it as a journal for the kids. I am not doing this to brag at all. I just thought this is a great way for you all to see what life's been like for us and what we've been doing. I love to see other people's blogs and see their pictures and see what they've been up to. That's all I'm doing here. Thank you!

Spencer's day!!

So today we decided to make it Spencer's day. Spencer was given a book at Christmas time that was about Thomas the train. He reads it every time we're in the car. He loves it!!! So when a commercial came on about how Heber RR is transforming their train over to Thomas over Memorial weekend, Spencer flipped every time. He would shout "choo choo" to the TV. So we decided to take him. He loved it so much that when we got home he wanted to look at the camera over and over and over again to see the pictures we took today. (Below are some of the many pictures that were taken today). Grandma Hale came with us and she got him a hat and a bandanna and a whistle. He LOVED them!!! He loved them so much that when I put him to bed tonight he wouldn't let go of the whistle and so I let him have it. While I was putting on my pj's I heard him in his room saying "choo choo mom, choo choo dad, choo choo grrrrma". It was so cute. We had a great time today and after prayers I asked Spencer if he had fun today and he nodded his head fervently and then said "Tank too". Now how cool is that. It melted my heart for sure. It made the whole day of running around, totally worth it.

Pictures of our day out with Thomas the train

I was so proud of Spencer today. He was so good here. It took us an hour and a half to get here and it rained on and off the whole day. And there was a lot of unhappy campers at this thing. Spencer was just as happy as ever.
The stack of hay that we were sitting on was soooo tall. You can't tell from the picture but Jason had to hoist me up to get me on top. Spencer wouldn't let go of the whistle that Grandma Hale gave him. It also came with the hat and bandana. It looked so cute on him. (I think anyway, I'm not biased or anything)
This is the front of the train that we went on. It was so cute. Everything was just so fun that day. Spencer had a blast.

Micah turned 2!!!!

My mom, Spencer and I went to Brett and Becky's last Thursday to wish Micah a happy 2ND birthday. We spent the whole day there. It was so fun. Micah opened up her gifts and after each present was opened she said "NEXT". It was so cute. Spencer had a blast with his cousin. He calls her "Mo Mo" He's like a little puppy dog following her around everywhere. It was so cute seeing them together. Grandma Hale gave Micah a whole bunch of dress up things. She wanted to wear all of it at the same time. She was all princessed out at the end. In the dress up kit it had shoes, bracelets, a tiara, earrings, gloves, rings, a necklace, let me just say it had it all. Then Grandma gave her a tutu that had flowers in it and I gave her wings and antennas. She looked super cute. She then received a backpack that was a pink cow. It was so soft. She wouldn't take it off. She wore the shoes the rest of the day. She even wanted to take her nap wearing her backpack and shoes. She was a little ticked when she woke up and they weren't on. She is so cute and has the funnest personality. We had a good time with that family. Brett was a hoot like always and Becky was so sweet. She had cupcakes for everyone and we just had a great time (have I said that already). Well it's true. We need to get up there more often. I can't believe Micah's 2 already. Time flies.

Our big news!!!!

Hi everyone. Well, if you don't know yet, we are expecting a new addition to our family. We waited until I was well into my second trimester to tell anyone (we didn't want to jinx it). Jason and I didn't even talk much about it until now, we have had a lot of almosts. With this being my 7th pregnancy and one being Spencer, we have been really cautious about everything. But now we know it's another BOY!!! Yeah, I mean, don't get me wrong, I'd be thrilled having a little girl but we really wanted a buddy for Spencer and being pretty much 2 yrs apart(25 months), we wanted them to be able to do the same stuff together. Plus we already have a lot of boy stuff so it really works out. And with me being due Oct. he can wear the same stuff with the seasons and I don't need to stress about going out and buying all new stuff. So that's our big news that we've been hiding from everyone.

So we've come to the conclusion that Spencer was a miracle baby. I am now on MANY meds to keep this baby alive inside of me. It has made me very very sick. Poor Jason, one of the meds I'm taking is hormones, so I have MANY mood swings. One moment I'm laughing and the next I'm in tears. I never knew there was so many sad commercials on the tv nowadays. The toliet paper ad always gets me (just kidding, but it's almost that bad). I never thought I'd be taking a pharmacy worth of pills this early on in my life. I'm not THAT old. But if it helps, I'll take 100 more. I am so lucky to have found out this conclusion to the problem we've been facing for a long time now. I consider myself very very lucky.

Our trip to St. George

This is Spencer doing things HIS way. He loves to turn on and off, on and off, on and off ........the lights. But he couldn't quite reach, so he found a way.

This was down in St. George. We had family pictures taken. They turned out okay, I think. Spencer wasn't really in the mood, though. So it made things just a tad more difficult. But we got a few good ones.
Spencer loves his cousins. Here he is with Brenna. He loves to grab their hands and walk around. Then he tries to hug and kiss on them.

SORRY!!!

  • So I know I haven't posted for quite a while, but I do have a legitimate excuse. Or else I think it is. This is what's been going on with us lately.
  • Well, three weeks ago while Jason was at his night job, I started feeling this sharp pain in my back. It was about 2:30am and it kept getting worse. So I finally called Jason and told him we needed to head to the ER. So we did and a week later I was released. I was in there from Mon night to Fri night. The doctor told me she wanted me in longer but I had had it. I wanted to go home. So I was on strong pain meds and antibiotics.
  • What happened was I had a whole bunch of infections including a kidney infection with stones to top it all off. I was in pretty bad shape. Poor Jason had to keep going to work at days and nights. It was hard on all of us. He was a real trooper and I love him so much for all he does for me. He is my rock and I don't know I'd do without him.
  • I was alone all the time in the hospital and Jason was exhausted taking care of Spencer and going to work. He would come when he could, but he was running ragged.
  • Thank heavens for my Mom. She was a lifesaver and took care of Spencer while he was at work. And then when I got home, Jason's mom came and helped take care of me and Spencer. She was great!!! I really appreciated all that help.
  • Needless to say it has taken me this long to finally get back on my feet. I still am trying to pass these stones, but that's all. All infections are gone. YEAH!!! And I am feeling pretty good.
  • So now I can post some of our new pictures. We went down to St George this last weekend for Amy's baby, Kelsey's blessing. We had a good time and it was great for Spencer to be with his cousins,Papa, Grandma and of course his Aunt JoJo again. He loved every minute of it!!!
