Disclaimer: I have made this blog for the intent to show loved ones what we've been up to lately. I also want to one day print it out and have it as a journal for the kids. I am not doing this to brag at all. I just thought this is a great way for you all to see what life's been like for us and what we've been doing. I love to see other people's blogs and see their pictures and see what they've been up to. That's all I'm doing here. Thank you!

Silly boy!!

For Christmas I got these socks from Brett and Becky, I love them, they are so soft. My only problem is that I don't get to wear them. My boys think they are super soft and cozy also, so this is what happens to them. Spencer wears them almost every night, unless they are in the dirty clothes. He walked out in them one night and that was it, he was in love. He said the only think is that he wishes they weren't pink, he wants me to buy another pair for him, but in green (his favorite color). So I think I mught need to do that so I can ge a chance to wear them.

Thanks Brett and Becky, me and my boys thank you!!

Lucas is 1!!

So this is me telling you what a year we have had. We have had our ups and we have had our downs, but the most important thing ever and the biggest up is the year we have had with our Lucas boy. He is now 1!! I can't believe it. Everyone says "where did the year go" so I won't, but I am thinking it for sure. I just know that this little boy has been one of the 3 biggest blessings in Jason and I's life. He has brought such an amazing spirit and love into this family. No matter what kind of day I am having, all I have to do is look at him and his smile and all is forgotten and my spirits are lifted and I can go on with my day happier. God knew what I needed as a 3rd child, and man, did we get it. Everyone says that their child is perfect, but I don't know, this kid is pretty dang close. I just want to wish him the best year ever and tell him how much his family loves him dearly.

Happy birthday, Luke! Your mom and dad and brothers love you soooo much! Lincoln says it best, "Yuke, we love you so much, a 'ol 'eap, with all our art, to infinity and beyond, forever and always".

It is time to take down Christmas and before I did, Spencer wanted me to take a picture of his countdown that he and Lincoln put up. The boys loved having Christmas decorations all over the house, so much that when it was time to take the tree down, Lincoln started bawling and ran into his room saying, "Mom, please don't take the tree down.....Christmas is not over....please mom". It was heartbreaking.

We had a surprise visitor over New Year's day. Grandma and Papa drove up to visit some friends and they stopped by on Monday and spent the day with us. It was so fun for the boys to get one-on-one attention with their grandparents. They loved every minute of it.
Before they left they took the boys on a walk around the neighborhood. The boys loved it.
Lincoln wouldn't leave his Teddy behind so Papa decided to put him in his back pocket and let him run around with him there. Teddy held on for dear life.

Here's Papa reassuring Teddy in Lincoln's back pocket.
The boys had a blast running around the yard. It was such a warm day, totally wierd for Jan 2nd.
Grandma Bowler with Spencer.
Lucas stayed behind while the boys went for a walk.
Off they go.

Spencer got to put up Grandma Hale's navitity countdown also. So here is the end result. It's funny how he placed them all.
We took the boys to see "Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked". It was a cute movie. The boys loved it. Their favorite part of the whole movie is when the credits are rolling and they get to go to the front of the theater and dance to the music. It's something that the kids have been doing since they could walk and by the end of the credits, there was about 15 kids down there dancing along with them. It was cute.
Spencer wanted to show us his "cool" pose. We wanted to take pictures in front of the chipmunks, but they didn't have any, so this worked for the boys.
Lucas enjoyed the movie also. He slept through the whole thing.
Hmmm, I think you have something on your face. He was eating Lucky Charms and they are stuck to his face and hands. So we went back to Cheerios.

Sleeping princes.
This is the outfit that Aunt Alisa gave Lucas for Christmas. It is so cute. He looks so dapper!! Thanks Aunt "Seesa"!!!

Snow Canyon

We had a great picnic at Snow Canyon with Jon and Prentiss, their girls, and Prentiss' sister Mallory. Mom had brought us sandwiches and afterwards she had to go back home and we decided to go on a hike to the sand dunes. We had the best time. We got to visit as we walked and the kids got to just run all over the place. We found thesand dunes and let the kids go at it. They had the time of their lives out there. I got some great pictures of our adventure.
This is the sand that came out of the kids shoes and clothes when we got back. It was a ridiculous amount. But it was totally worth it. We stripped the kids down outside and took them right into a warm shower. I couldn't believe how much sand was in the kids clothes, even Lincoln's diaper was full of sand. So we made sure we washed them thoroughly. It's crazy where sand ends up.

This was the remaining sand in the kids you-know-wheres.

Lucas was enjoying his time in the swing as we were stripping the other boys down.
This was Luke's 1st experience with sand. It was a huge hit. He loved the feel of it. It was some cold sand too, so I was shocked he liked it so much.

I don't know how the kids got so much sand down there clothes, can you? They would just roll down the hills.

Sweet baby Brooklynn all bundled up. It was chilly in the shade.
My boys can't get enough of their cousins. They just adore these girls. It's easy to do, they are pretty loveable.
Sweet little Luke just loving every minute of every day.

Lincoln loved rolling down these hills, it was the climbing back up that was difficult for him.
Brenna girl.

Sweet Tessa, feeling a little better. It was so good to see her in better spirits. I hate it when kids I love are sick, I just wish I could take over the pain and illness for them.
Cute cousins. I love how close these kids are. They can be away from each other for months and pick up where they left off seconds into seeing each other. It is really cute and I know this closeness will be a forever thing. I just wish we could get them together more often.

Spencer and Tessa wanted a picture with this dog that was in the RV park. It was such a cute dog.
This was my first adventure in Snow Canyon. It's crazy that it has taken me so long to see, but I think with as much fun as we had, this will be a tradition we will do every year. Thanks Jonny and Prenny for this special day, we had such a good time with you guys. We love you so much.
