Yeah, it's that good!!!
Disclaimer: I have made this blog for the intent to show loved ones what we've been up to lately. I also want to one day print it out and have it as a journal for the kids. I am not doing this to brag at all. I just thought this is a great way for you all to see what life's been like for us and what we've been doing. I love to see other people's blogs and see their pictures and see what they've been up to. That's all I'm doing here. Thank you!

Easter day!
After we ate a delicious meal with funeral potatoes and ham (is that the universal meal of all Mormons?) we then dyed Easter eggs with Micah and Spencer. We stripped both kids down and put aprons on both of them (no pictures of those because I was helping dye eggs) and this is what the back of Spencer's apron looked like. I reminds me of those hospital gowns and the nice opening in the back.
I think the stickers that were supposed to be on the eggs made their way on the kids instead. Micah had a blast putting them on everyone including Spencer.
Tan little Tenille with Lincoln. Kev and Tenille just got back from Hawaii. She went over and joined him after he did some electrical work over there for most of March. She went over for 8 days and they brought the sun back with them in the form of a tan. They are both so dark, I am not jealous or anything. If you believe that, I have some ocean front property in Utah to sell ya. I am super jealous. They are sooooo dark. She looks like she's wearing nylons, but she's NOT. They both look so good. The picture doesn't do it justice.
Easter with the Hale's
Ready.....Set.....GO!!!
So this is the finale picture of the hunt. So as you can see, he got his "nake". Once he picked this up, he was good to go, Jason had to urge him to pick up the other stuff. They had pudding cups, big bags of cotton candy, stuffed animals, toys, and a whole bunch of eggs. He was so thrilled to get this snake though. Grandma Hale is so happy to have this in her house, she is a huge fan of "nakes".
The city committee made it quite clear that parents can be out with the child BUT cannot pick anything up themselves or else. And can you believe there was defiant parents that didn't listen. It's so frustrating, it's just an Easter Egg Hunt, for cryin' out loud.
This was right before the siren of the Fire engine went off. With all the confusion from the past hunt they had posters everywhere about the siren. But the wind picked up and we had Spencer's ski coat over his jacket and then he had gloves on also. It was so cold. Little Lincoln's stroller was covered with jackets by this point, to keep in the heat.
This was prior to the cold wind when it was bearable with just jackets. See how early we were, there was nobody around. As opposed to seconds before the hunt started when you are getting pushed out of the way. Jason was so pushy....just kidding....but man, you'd think it was Black Friday out there and their was money in those eggs with the way people were acting.
Getting ready for the hunt!!!
On Sat. we went to the Herriman city Easter Egg Hunt. Spencer was the top of the totum pole of his age bracket. He was in the 0-2 years hunt. NOBODY believed he was 2 years old. They kept asking us how old he was and then they would even go up to him and ask him (as if it'd be a different answer) but no he would say "I'm two". Then he would stand on the outside of the corded off area and proceed to say "C....A...U...T...I...O...N" reading the tape around the area. Then people would say "Yeah right he's 2". That came and bit us didn't it. Anyways, we knew the truth and that's what's important. Next year he's going to be at the bottom of the totum pole with the 3-6 yr hunt. Oh well, he had a blast.
This is Spencer waiting patiently. We arrived about 45 minutes early because last year we were 5 minutes early and the city goofed and instead of going on the blowhorn to announce the hunt is about to start they accidentally set off the sound button and off the kids went, we were rounding the corner to the hunt and we booked it to the area but by the time we got there (2 seconds later) the hunt was over and Spencer went home with an empty basket. It was so sad, so anyways, we didn't want that repeated this year. And instead we were one of the first there.

Lincoln just along for the ride. It was so cold we didn't even get him out of the stroller. What is he going to do with candy? I couldn't believe how many parents were there with one child who were probably under the age of 5 months. It's called go to the store and buy candy for yourselves you greedy people. What are kids under 1 going to do with candy? Share with their parents, I guess.
So I went to wet Spencer's hair to do it "handsome" as he puts it and I wanted to see how it would do standing straight up. I couldn't believe the curl that his hair has. It has grown out a lot since his last haircut and it just went curly when I started to comb it. He must get it from a specific Uncle (I won't name any names but you know who you are, Lamby). He looked like a character from "Grease" when I got done with him. The picture doesn't do it justice.
Aunt Alisa came over to use Grandma Hale's mixer for cookies. She was making sugar cookies for a Primary activity she was having the next day where the kids will decorated them for Easter. Anyways, Spencer had a hay day with pushing down the cookie cutters with Alisa. Thanks for being such a great Aunt with him, Alisa. Spencer just adores you. You are so great with him. He still to this day talks about making "tookies wit Aunt Alissssssaaaaah". "Oh yes, so fun" he says.

This is when we were at the park in St. George. It was so fun and a little chilly with the wind. The park was up on a hill so we got all the wind. The kids didn't care though, they played the whole time. This is a picture of the grown ups chatting while the kids played. Prenny, Dad, Amy (grown ups) with Tessa and Kelsey (little ones)
Spencer posing for mom.
These puzzles were hand made from Grandpa Gorringe way back when. I played with this when I was little. I can't believe the pieces are all there. Well there is one piece missing from each one, for 40 years old, that's hecka good, I'd say. I hope I can keep all our puzzles together in one piece for that long. (I really doubt it, unless I put them up now) So thanks Grandpa for making such sturdy and great puzzles. Generations later and their still making kids smile.
Day at the park
Visit to St. George
So recently we has some time off with Jason's work schedule so we decided it was time to see family down in St. George. We went down for just a couple days and every minute was planned while we were there. It was go go go the whole time. We hadn't been there since Christmas so it was much needed. The time went by so fast that we didn't get around to all the family we needed to see. So we apologize to those we didn't and we are so sorry. But if you know how many Bowler's there are down there, you would understand. Both sides of Jason's family are living there so there is A LOT of fam to see.
Tribute to......well, you know who you are.
So this is the beginning of a long night of owies. It all started with Spencer hurting his arm on well, I have no idea now, but at the time he was really saying it hurt. Then he said he needed a "scooby dooby" for his arm (code for a scooby doo bandaid). He then went into the hall bathroom and said "oh, yes this will work and out came a long ace bandage. Now this made me laugh out loud since this is a family joke with "she who should not be named". I then proceeded to wrap his arm. And VOILA he was cured!!!!! He said "Oh yes, all better" and then I took it off to have him put it away...BUT NO... he had all sorts of owies after that.
Next was his foot (as you can see). "Oh yes, all better now" he says. (If you haven't noticed, everything Spencer says starts with "oh yes", it's a phase) Then on to the next owie.
His knee. He really was enjoying this (as you can see with each picture). And deep down I was laughing with every wrap thanks to the family joke.
Now this one was a new wrap I've never preformed in all my medical training. I learned it pretty quickly. If you can't tell it's a bum ache. He made sure with every wrap I get the right spot. I won't describe the exact spot of this pain. But I got it eventually. The ace bandage is definetely a cure all. It's an amazing little wrap. Our loved one that I will not name had it right all these years. I should've listened years ago. My bad!!!
